Proposals to the Berne University Research Foundation may be submitted once a year.

Next submission deadline:

    n.n. 2019 (April or May 2019; date will be published in Q1 2019)

The date of the postmark counts as the binding date of submission; equally important is the on-time lodgement of the form “Summary Application” in electronic file format. Proposals arriving later than the indicated deadline are registered and filed for the next possible submission date.

Proposals incl. all enclosures are to be sent in two hard copies by priority mail (A-Post) to the following address:

In addition, the form “Summary Application” in Word format is to be sent in electronic file format to the Foundation Office (email to or in shape of a CD-Rom).

Before submitting your proposal please consult the info sheet carefully. It provides information as to who is eligible to submit a proposal, which documents are required for submission and what types of projects the Foundation supports. Proposals that do not comply with the provisions listed in the info sheet will not be accepted.
